The result is known as the Diamond Chair, after the patterns in the bent, welded steel of the upper seat. The base is similarly crafted from steel, with a polished chrome finish providing added visual interest, and a snap on seat cushion adds comfort. Still produced by Knoll, it's an icon of mid century design.
