The strap is adjustable. the lid is secured to the front of the case via a metal buckle. The lining on the walls of the compartment are not fully secured and will need re secured at the bottom. They are still stitched in at the top. The compartment measures approximately 9 7 8" x 4 1 2" x 4 1 2". The overall dimensions measure approximately 10 1 2" x
