Once the surface is finished and smoothed the piece is coated with black glaze and decorated using the ancient technique of sgrafitto which involves carving the glaze coated surface to reveal the white stoneware clay body

Sold as a set: one pair displays peach drops and the other

then brushed with milk paint for a tactile finish—making each one unique with its own subtle differences
